On April 21, 2022, the launch ceremony of the Vietnam Blockchain Union (VBU) under the Vietnam Digital Media Association (under the governance of the Ministry of Information and Communications) was officially held at the the International Conference Center - ICC (35 Hung Vuong, Ba Dinh, Hanoi), which marks the pioneer of a blockchain union established and officially operating in Vietnam.

VBU is an alliance of leading blockchain experts and organizations in Vietnam, with the mission of connecting the Blockchain community, consulting and contributing to advise Government agencies on developing policies and legal frameworks for blockchain, digital assets, and digital currency in Vietnam.

Today's launch ceremony graced with special attendance by Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Member of the National Committee on Digital Transformation, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuc – Director of the Information Security Department of the Ministry of Information and Communications, together with representatives of relevant organizations, domestic and foreign experts, leaders of large enterprises, technology companies and the startup community.

Appearing at the event were also many popular names in the blockchain field operating in Vietnam and internationally such as Binance, EZChain, Fizen, Remitano, BHO Network, Ekoios, Metain, Fanverse, UFin, CryptoF, Metaxiz, Bizverse , FMCPAY…

The launching ceremony of the VBU Executive Board with the key moment "Commitment to accompany and promote blockchain development in Vietnam" took place right after that, demonstrating the determination to pursue the mission of connecting the community operating in both the domestic and international blockchain sector, as well as participate in project appraisal, support the Investment Fund to connect businesses, and advise on policy development and legal corridor to develop blockchain technology in Vietnam.

The highlight of the event was the discussion on the topic "Blockchain and opportunities for Vietnam to break through to become a digital technology powerhouse by 2030." Guests attending the seminar were Mr. Vu Anh Tu - CTO of FPT Corporation, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Gia Long - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Keller William Vietnam, Dr. Dinh Ngoc Thanh - Blockchain expert connecting via online bridgeheads in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Korea. During the seminar, experts and the audience had many interesting and useful insights.
